A workshop at the Faculty of Girls to teach children the agriculture in a simplified way

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, and Prof. Dr. Heba Barakat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, in line with the state’s vision towards green and the call to "Be Green", established the activity of plant propagation and quality measurement under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maha Howeidi, and coordinated by Dr. Nahla Othman and a number of assistants from the Botany Department, and Dr. Atef Muharrek, teacher in the Department of Child Education, a workshop to teach children about agriculture in a simplified way and to introduce them to the importance of agriculture, the stages of growth, how to plant from seeds and the different types of environments, and to clarify the importance of recycling and using plastic waste and decorating it to serve as a pot for plants.

The workshop ended with each child accompanied by a small plant to care for and to be the beginning of encouraging home farming.

It is worth mentioning that, in conjunction with the workshop, an exhibition of sun and shade plants and many natural oils was held on the college swimming pool.
