As part of the activities of the welcome week for new students at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, the faculty launched the “Plant Your Future” initiative, in line with the “Go green” initiative within the framework of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development Egypt 2030, where students plant 500 seedlings in different places in the Faculty and add a sign with their names in the places of seedlings to follow them during their school years.
The initiative comes under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community and Environmental Affairs, and under the patronage and supervision of Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Acting Dean of Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine and Prof. Dr. Heba Allah Saeed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hala Swaid, Vice Dean for Community and Environmental Affairs, in cooperation with the Student Union of Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine, under the supervision of Dr. Maha Zakaria, the first phase coordinator.
