An intensive preparations at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University for the new academic year

under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Student Education Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Khaled Abu Shanab, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Rehab Othman, Vice Dean for Student Education Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Rola Milad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, has prepared the University's Faculty of Pharmacy to receive the new academic year.

Prof. Dr. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, stated that the Faculty has two academic programs (the Pharm D Bachelor of Pharmacy Program) and (the Pharm D Bachelor of Pharmacy Program - Clinical Pharmacy), and the number of new students so far is (221) candidates from the Coordination Office, and the number of students in teams is (2388) students. Pointing out that the auditoriums and student laboratories have been equipped.

She added that a reception and a tour of the Faculty was held for new students, during which the students were presented with a guide to student ethics, student services, student activities, and an explanation of the study system and Faculty regulations.

She explained that the first week includes the old students welcoming the new students to a reception festival, as the Faculty is keen on the participation of its students in activities and presents them to them through the Youth Welfare Office in its various sports, cultural, artistic, scientific, itinerant committees, the social committee, trips and camps, and the Counseling and Psychological Support Unit at the Faculty.

The dean of the Faculty emphasized that the Faculty plan for the year 2022/2023 is to conduct awareness lectures on occupational safety and health and how to deal in an emergency situation, and to hold lectures for new teaching assistants on how to deal with students to improve the progress of the educational process and reach the desired goal.

She added that it is also worth noting that the Faculty issues a periodic awareness magazine issued by the Agency for Community Service and Environmental Development, and preparations are underway for the annual charitable clothing exhibition, blood donation campaigns and awareness campaigns, and all this coincides with the Faculty’s preparations for accreditation for the third time from the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority.
