Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, witnessed the installation of a mural at the entrance to Talaat Harb Palace, inscribed with the name and description of Talaat Harb Pasha, in commemoration of his memory and in appreciation of his contributions to enriching ancient art and his interest in culture, art, theater and cinema, which bore the title "Here Talaat Harb lived", in the presence of Professor Mohamed Abu Saada, head of the National Organization for Urban Coordination, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Misr, Deputies of the Faculty, grandchildren of Talaat Harb Pasha, heads of departments, faculty members, the supporting staff and students.
At the beginning of his speech, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, congratulated the new academic year, wishing the college and its students a successful academic year, pointing out that the maintenance of all facilities, facilities and others was reviewed to provide an inspiring learning environment.
His Excellency explained that the headquarters of the Faculty of Specific Education was the home of one of the most important symbols of Egyptian patriotism who dedicated their lives to serve the country and were able to implement important projects and entities that later became a mainstay of the Egyptian economy, so students should know them, noting that a code was placed on the interface that students can scan to learn about history. He thanked Banque Misr for its support for the development of the Talaat Harb Theater in the faculty, which was a witness to many important historical occasions, as it sang on its giant stage of art.
Prof. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saoud expressed his happiness at being in the Faculty of Specific Education, which witnessed many achievements and developments with the support of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, the former Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, whose career path will be completed by Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
His Excellency added that by supporting the presidency of the university and providing all possibilities for students of the Faculty of Specific Education, promising treasures and talents will be revealed during the coming period, as the college has become a center for creativity and arts at the university.
Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud announced that the choir of Ain Shams University (The Spirit of the East Choir) will be the main paragraph in the celebration of the glorious October victories next Tuesday.
On his part, Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Sayed he welcomed the audience, referring to the role of the college and the effective Talaat Harb theater in the university, where the theater after its development became open to the university as a whole, the university team, the East Spirit choir and the western choir, along with the college choir led by the college professors train on its stage.
Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed reviewed the history of Theatre, which was established in 1920, and was developed after it was exposed to fire in 2007, pointing out that the idea of renovating it began in the era of Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, the former university president, then the current university administration headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini to be fully developed with modern acoustics and lighting equipment and a studio at the highest level.
His Excellency explained that one of the reasons for the university and college’s interest in theater is that it was not only a student theater or just one of the university’s theaters, but rather a theater with a historical impact, witnessing many concerts by great artists. It is the musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab.
He added that this theater is a witness to history, as Talaat Harb Pasha used it as a cinema hall to show films that he produced from Studio Egypt, such as the movie (Wedad). Endowments and a large number of leaders and ministers.
In his speech, Professor Mohamed Abu Saada, head of the National Organization for Urban Coordination, thanked the President of Ain Shams University for his interest in heritage, stressing that the Egyptian heritage is rich and must be preserved.
His Excellency explained the role of the agency, which is concerned with preserving heritage, in addition to its interest in the current construction, which will become a heritage for future generations. Therefore, consideration is given to preserving our heritage and our identity, and to keep our Egyptian print imprinted on the walls.
He announced the launch of the National Urban Coordination Organisation, a competition for the design of fields, elements of roadbeds and open spaces in the main cities and capitals of the governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt. He called on university faculties to participate in this scheme, whether in the field of cosmetics or urbanism, to develop fields in all Egyptian governorates in a way that reflects the identity of the governorate.
In a speech by the representative of Banque Misr, he talked about Talaat Pasha and his role in the economy, and invited the youth to learn about his inspiring story and how an individual was able to change the economy of a country, as he was able to establish Banque Misr, EgyptAir and Egypt Navigation, and a list of successful institutions.
Talaat Harb's grandson expressed his happiness with the spirit of the team work that brought Ain Shams University together with Banque Misr with the Urban Coordination Organization, which reflects a strong love for the homeland and its sons, which is the same approach adopted by Talaat Pasha Harb in relying on the people of this country.
During the events, an oil painting painted by Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini was gifted by the student Abdel Rahman Saber, one of the students with special abilities (deaf and dumb).
The choir of the Faculty of Specific Education, was led by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Salem, Dr. Khaled El-Sherbiny, and a group of technical paragraphs that impressed the audience.
