A concert for the group (Choral Harmony - Western Choir) at the Faculty of Specific Education

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, honored the Faculty of Specific Education team that won the Excellence Award in the second lyrical festival for Egyptian universities and institutes (Egypt from Nasr to Nasr), which was held at the Institute for Leadership Development. Which was organized by the Education and Student Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Specific Education within the activities of the reception festival for the new academic year 2022-2023, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and Prof. Dr. Taya Abdel Latif, advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for student activities, and Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs for Student Activities and Prof. Dr. Karim Hammam, Director of the Institute for Leadership Development and Prof. Dr. Walaa Anis, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kadry, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Reem Al-Kabariti, director of alumni associations, Ain Shams University, and a group of faculty staff and the teaching assistants.

         
   
         

A confirmed. Dr.. Abdul-Fattah Saud in his speech that the Faculty of Specific Education is a treasure of the university, as the developments witnessed by the faculty, including the renewal of the faculty theater, changed the general thinking of the system.

He added that the university had several different choirs, it started with the Spirit of the East choir, which was supported by the university, and paid great attention to it until it became so famous. Today’s celebration is for the graduation of the Los Gitanos team, led by Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman and Dr. Marwa Abdel Moneim, and it is the first batch of singing groups trained at Kayan Center, which provides training courses for technically talented students from inside the university for training on playing instruments (piano, violin, guitar, oud, etc.). – Law – drums – drums – flute – record – accordion – mandolin – xylophone), and specialized courses for students of determination to develop their technical skills. He also teaches the Trinity college London curriculum, and technically prepares high school students to take the entrance exams for specialized colleges and music institutes, as well as It opens its door for talented students from outside the university to enroll in specialized training courses to develop their talents, as the center provides community services towards talented students in the surrounding environment from outside the University.

The Kayan Center is also distinguished by training children from the age of 6 and discovering their talents in playing different musical instruments, and now the door to enrollment has been opened to apply for a program to learn ceramics, painting and all artworks.

         
   
         

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, welcomed the Gentlemen of the audience, pointing to the importance of Talaat Harb Theater as it is no longer a theater for students only or just one of the university theaters, but a theater with a historical impact, witnessing a large number of concerts by great artists. It was composed by the musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab, and it became popular for the university as a whole, so it was trained by the university team, the spirit of the east choir, the western choir, and the college choir led by the college professors, adding that this theater is a witness to history, as Talaat Harb Pasha used it as a cinema hall to show films that he produced from the studio Egypt is like the movie (Wedad).

At the end of the ceremony, the team leaders were honored by presenting certificates of honor and giving them a symbolic financial reward. A choir also presented a song entitled “Al-Manakh” written and produced by the sons of Ain Shams University, which the university presents to Egypt before the start of the COP27 Conference of States Parties, and the song calls for preserving the environment.
