The Faculty of Archeology begins the field training of its students with a field visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Archeology and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Field and Practical Training Unit began its work with a field visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization on Thursday 13/10/2022.

The unit members divided the 220 students into 6 groups, and all groups toured around the museum and got acquainted with its components. Then the Greek and Roman era, then the Coptic era, up to the Islamic era, heritage and modern Egypt.

The students completed their tour inside the Royal Mummies Hall, where 22 kings and queens of the great Egyptian kings settled in their last residence, next to their coffins and their collections inside the Museum of Kings Hall. At the end of the visit, the students took a free tour inside the museum halls.
