Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, acting as vice president for community service and environmental development, and in cooperation with many local and international cultural bodies, and with the participation of a distinguished elite of poets, writers and artists, Ain Shams University is holding the university's celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language
The university invites the faculty staff, the teaching assistants
, the working staff and all students to participate in the literary production in any of the following fields: classical poetry - colloquial poetry - lyrics - poetry recitation - short story - essay writing - script and dialogue - novel - playwriting.
As well as artistic production in the field of caricatures dedicated to ridiculing the phenomenon of (the Franks), the use of foreign languages with Arabic, and the university’s encouragement for children from the children of the faculty members, the assistant staff and the university’s employees. Children under the age of 14 can participate in the field of reciting or writing poetry (formal - colloquial), and the field of the short story.
The works submitted for each category of applicants, faculty and teaching assistants employees category, university staff category, university students category will be evaluated independently, taking into account the age difference, experiences and specializations, and all submitted works will be arbitrated and reviewed through specialized arbitration committees from within Outside the university, outstanding works in each category will be honored during the celebration that will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022.
