The Center for Papyrus Studies and Inscriptions at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, will organize a conference on medicine and pharmacy in Egypt and the Near East.

The conference will be held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University. Prof. Dr. Noha Salem Director of the Center of Papyrus Studies and Inscriptions announced this.

She explained that the activities of the conference will continue for 3 days from Tuesday 18 December to 20 December 2018, in the presence of a number of important figures.

Prof. Dr. Tarek Mansoor, the vice-dean of the Faculty of Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development and the consultant of the Center for Papyrus and Inscriptions, said that researchers attended the conference from a number of Arab countries, including Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Algeria and Syria. The conference will discuss many topics in 12 sessions distributed over two days and then a final session to announce the recommendations of the conference, and then the third day will witness field visits to a number of archaeological areas in Cairo Fatimid.
