Second-level students in the Department of Archeology and Excavations at the Faculty of Archeology visit the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research as part of their field and practical training

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, Acting Dean and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Rawan Ahmed, Director of the Field Training Unit The field visit and practical training for second-level students in the Department of Archeology and Excavations at the National Institute of Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Helwan took place on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from ten in the morning until three in the afternoon, under the supervision of Dr. Syed Abdul Aleem, the teacher in the department.

Where the students were received and were given a theoretical explanation of how to use modern scientific devices and applications in detecting antiquities in the ground using the GPR device.

The final part of the training was how to interpret and analyze the data generated by the device's ground survey.
