For the second time in a row…the Faculty of Engineering hosts a qualifying workshop for the IELTS test

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the activities of the second workshop ended this month, entitled "Qualification for the IELTS Test", which was organized by the Scholarships Welfare Office at Ain Shams University in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering and the British Council.

The workshop comes within the framework of Ain Shams University's keenness to accommodate the large numbers of faculty members and students who applied to attend the workshop.

         
   
         

The workshop was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amr Shaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Eng. Noha Gamal, Scientific Exchange Coordinator - International Cooperation Office at the Faculty, Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of the Scholarships Welfare Office at the university.

The workshop lasted for 4 consecutive hours and dealt with various aspects related to the test in its different parts, including a detailed explanation of the exam preparation strategies presented by Professor Samer Fadel - Director of Business Development at the British Council, and then Mrs. Sahar Azzam - IELTS expert at the British Council presented details about the different types of questions In the exam, with a detailed training presentation for the attendees during the sessions of the different parts of the exam during the workshop Certificates of appreciation were handed over to the lecturers from the British Council in appreciation of the role they play during the university workshops in cooperation with the University Scholarships Sponsorship Office, the Graduate Studies Sector and the International Cooperation Office at the Faculty of Engineering .

   
   

The Scholarships Welfare Office holds IELTS workshops on a monthly basis in the university’s faculties in light of skills development and upgrading of language and research skills for students, researchers and faculty members to join the missions and grants offered by the state to Egyptian universities and academic institutes to study and conduct research in the best universities in the world.

Dr. Abdullah Sami indicated that the IELTS workshop is scheduled to be held at the Faculty of Agriculture - Ain Shams University at the end of this month.
