Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Omar Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Mostafa Refaat, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Student Affairs, and the organization of the International Cooperation Office at the Faculty, the Sawiris Agreement for Student Exchange was launched for students of the Faculty of Engineering, to spend a full academic year at the University of Pennsylvania funded by the Nassif Sawiris Foundation for Education.
The University of Pennsylvania is one of the most prestigious universities in the United States of America, UPenn league Ivy ranked 13th in both the US News & World Report 2022 rankings and the 2022 QS World University Rankings for the best international universities and the seventh in the United States of America.
Four students from the Faculty were selected in the academic year 2021/2022:
1- Rawan Ahmed Mahmoud Selim - Department of Communications and Electronics Engineering
2- George Emad Fikri Habib - Department of Communications and Electronics Engineering
3- Karen George Kamal - Department of Communications and Electronics Engineering
4- Farah Issam Faraj Jirat Allah - Architectural Engineering Program
