The Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University is hosting two workshops in the disciplines of "Psychology" and "Libraries and Information" as part of a series of workshops organized by the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the university in cooperation with the Knowledge Bank and Elsevier to spread awareness and training on international scientific publishing in the fields of social sciences and studies Humanity, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Acting Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision and coordination of Prof. Dr. Sheren Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research.
The scientific workshops include an introduction to refereed scientific publishing, reviewing the research literature, collecting information and how to choose the internationally listed scientific journal to publish my article in the field of psychology, preparing research articles and converting the research message to an article, and the topic of scientific publishing ethics and inference in the fields of psychology specialization.
The Faculty will also host, over three days, two workshops on Sunday, November 20 and Monday, November 21, with the same topics, but in the field of library and information specialization, in addition to a workshop entitled Developments in the management of electronic resources for library and information specialists, to be held on Tuesday, November 22.
The workshops aim to raise the rate of international publication in the human and social sciences sector. Each college hosts a number of scientific workshops according to the schedule prepared by the sector in advance. All scientific workshops are held in the college conference hall at 10 am, and attendees receive a certificate of attendance for each session of the workshop.
It is worth noting that the workshops enhance the culture and literature of international publishing, which enhances the university's classification.
