The activities of the Together initiative were launched at the Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Student Service Center with Disabilities, in order to develop the capabilities of female students with disabilities in coordination with the College Training Unit, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr.. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Walaa Anis, Vice Dean for Education and Students, Prof. Dr. Hind Al-Helaly, Director of the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit, Prof. Dr. Rana Al-Helaly, Director of the Services Center for People with Disabilities, in the presence of faculty members, students, and workers at the college.
Prof. Dr. Walaa Anis welcomed the women's support and anti-violence units and the unit for people with special needs at the university, and wished their masters a special training day in the college premises, mentioning that this cooperation is not the first and will not be the last.
In her speech, Dr. Hind illustrated the goals of the Women's Support Unit and Combating Violence Against Women at any time in order to build a personality that can confront violence, and called her Excellency for an art therapy workshop to release the negative energies that may be generated from exposure to violence under the slogan (You are strong and able to deal in various circumstances) and spoke About her plan to visit the college in the coming period.
Prof. Dr. Amani Abdel Aal, a clinical psychologist and consultant, stressed the importance of training Window and expressed her happiness at the presence of boys and girls in the workshop, and stressed that the unit needs everyone as volunteers and ambassadors for our colleagues to support women and combat violence in general against bullying and harm, psychological support, and ways to report this bullying, and that capacity development is the best way Which makes us charge our psychological energy so that we can face daily pressures through our internal inventory by learning how to face pressures and express our feelings, then a workshop was held to develop psychological capabilities for any form of violence that a student may face, especially being bullied in Public places or transportation.
A number of workshops were also presented to develop the abilities of male and female students to overcome psychological problems, how to defend themselves and overcome negative feelings when they were exposed to any form of violence or bullying, in addition to training them on how to become an entrepreneur for a micro-enterprise.
