Opening of the 6th International Conference on "Mental Health and Community Development" at the Faculty of Girls

Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development and Dean of Faculty of Girls inaugurated the sixth international conference entitled "Mental Health and Community Development" organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in the presence of the College's Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

In his inaugural speech, Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid stressed that the role of universities is no longer limited to education and scientific research, but has evolved to achieve community service, development and meeting its needs. This conference highlights the importance of mental health in the development of society. Linking the community service with scientific researches that provide results and recommendations applied on the ground and work on the development and development of society.

Prof. Dr. Rokaya Shalabi stressed the importance of the mental health of the society and its direct impact on the production and progress of society because the psychologically healthy individual is capable of production and the happy individual is capable of creativity. She pointed out that the conference is rich with the participation of a large number of researchers and specialists in the field of mental health from various Egyptian universities as well as researchers from various Arab countries such as Syria, Saudi Arabia and Palestine.

The various sessions of the conference will discuss raising the level of efficiency of mental health workers and providing an atmosphere for exchanging local and international experiences among researchers and practitioners in this field. The conference will also review the latest developments and global practices in the field of mental health diagnosis, rehabilitation and treatment.

Prof. Dr. Mai Helmi reviewed the six sessions of the conference, which deals with many aspects, including mental health from the educational and social perspective and mental health from childhood to old age

The Conference did not overlook marginalized groups and women. The conference discussed the mental health of women, people with special needs, mental health, addiction issues and marginalized children from displaced children, beggars, displaced persons, shelters and abused children.

On the sidelines of the conference, two workshops will be held on "Positive Education: Vision and Challenges" and "Positive Psychology". Ahmed Haroun Al Shareef. At the end of the opening session, the organizers of the conference were honored.
