The cultural day of the Department of Islamic Oriental Languages, and Turkish Language at the Faculty of Al-Alsun

Under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, and a professor. Dr. Nasser Abdel Aal, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Department of Islamic Oriental Languages, and the Turkish Language, organized the activities of the cultural day in the Turkish Language Division, in the presence of Dr. Manal Rizk and Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Ghany and Dr. Heba Kenawy.

The meeting opened with verses from the Holy Quran, which were recited by the student, Salah Hassan, in the first year, and then followed by the speech of the Head of the Department of Oriental and Islamic Languages, Prof. Dr. Heba Salah, then a word by Dr. Abdel Moaty Salih, Professor of Arabic Language and former vice-dean of the faculty, and the speech was about the importance of translation. The conversation also touched on the history of the Faculty of Al-Alsun and why it was named by this name, and the importance of learning three languages ​​in the college and not only mastering the language, but it is very important and necessary to know the history and culture of the language being taught.

Also, Dr. Abdel Moaty stressed the importance of acquiring experiences and self-development in order to be able to deal with the requirements of the labor market. Heba Salah started the activities of the cultural day.

   
   

The day began with a play written and performed by students of the four teams in Turkish, followed by a summary of the idea of ​​the play in Arabic, and then sequences of presentations such as poetry, singing, short stories, and cultural and historical competitions about Turkey.

The student advisor in the Turkish language department, Dr. Heba Kenawy announced some of the cultural activities carried out by the Turkish Language Division in the recent period, the most important of which was the translation competition into Arabic last year, then the cultural day, as well as the electronic magazine, then announcing the new cultural work, which is a collection of stories written by a number of students of the Turkish Language Division, which included 6 Stories written in Arabic and are being translated into Turkish. Student Muhammad Nashat presented a summary of these stories that were written.

The activities of the cultural day concluded with the handing over of the Dean Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad the shield of the electronic magazine for some students of the Turkish Language Department and a number of faculty staff. Dr. Nasser, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, also handed certificates of appreciation to the first batches and participants in the cultural day.
