Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and Prof. Dr. Alaa El Din Abdel Halim Mohamed Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Dr. Jihan Youssef, Director of the English Language Teaching Development Center, and Dr. Suhaib Tolba Director of the Community Services Unit, and in the presence of a large number of faculty staff from all departments of the Faculty, a number of Faculty employees, and a large number of distinguished children, the Center for the Development of Teaching English Language, in cooperation with the Faculty’s Community Services Unit, organized activities to celebrate the International Children’s Day. The interest in this event came as an affirmation of achieving the goals, mission, and vision of the English Language Teaching Development Center and keeping pace with future changes and visions for education in light of the digital transformation and the social dimension that falls within the priorities of the center and the Faculty, as well as an emphasis on the importance of cooperation and partnerships between units, centers and academic departments in the Faculty and beyond.
Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Ceremonial Faculty, opened with a speech in which he emphasized the main role of the Faculty of Education in educating young people and the importance of education and the educational package system that extends to include integration and overlap between sciences, which is presented to the child in a form that requires expertise and complementarity in knowledge. His Excellency also praised the integration between the Teaching Development Center the English language and the community services unit, as well as the departments of the college participating in the celebration. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din Abdel-Halim Mohamed Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, emphasized the importance of childhood and its role in shaping the personality, the importance of celebrating this day, and the importance of children’s active participation in events and train them to interact and participate.
Happiness and joy appeared on the faces of the children participating in the celebration. The activities were represented by the active participation of the distinguished children's team. At the end of the celebration, certificates of thanks and appreciation were presented to all the participating work team. And the clear educational, in addition to the integration in holding events between the centers, units, and departments, is based on the excellence and leadership of the Faculty and the university in the field of community service and environmental development.
