How to compete for research funding... A symposium at the Faculty of Girls

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Amira Ahmed Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, and Prof. Dr. Heba Barakat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, a symposium was held on how to compete for research funding. In cooperation with the Department of Chemistry, the symposium was presented by Prof. Dr. Nadia Gharib, Professor of the Department of Chemistry, in the Faculty's grand conference hall.

In this symposium, an introduction to scientific writing was presented, and then the importance of funding to obtain research outputs that would lead to publication in international journals was explained. Then the presentation was extended to explain how to write a competition project for research funding, which is the aim of this symposium.

The target of this symposium is the members of Faculty staff, teaching assistants, and those interested in scientific research. Some undergraduate students also attended.
