The Climate change and food… a seminar at the Faculty of Specific Education

The Training and Skills Development Unit at the Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University organized a symposium entitled "Climate Change and Food" under the auspices of Prof. Osama Al-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the supervision of Dr. Abdul Rahman Shawki, Director of the Training and Skills Development Unit, and in the presence of Prof. Maher Ahmed Salem, Secretary of the Faculty.

During the symposium, Dr. Osama Al-Sayed, on behalf of the IHUB unit, called Dr. Amal Nasr, the unit manager, to explain the unit’s tasks to the students present and to introduce them to how to participate in its competitions.

As explained by Prof. Osama, climate changes affect food and the role of the state in reducing the seriousness of those changes and what it contributed in this regard, referring to the phenomenon of climate change that received global scientific attention, the first of which was during the Environment Conference in Stockholm in 1977, climate change, biodiversity, agriculture, precipitation and rooftops, the seas, the sinking of island and delta countries, and many axes. Then, His Excellency started opening a discussion dialogue with the students and answering his questions.
