The Faculty of Mass Communication hosts the third educational course, ABCs of Politics and Law

The Middle East Research and Future Studies Center held the third seminar of the educational course, "The ABCs of Politics and Law", hosted by the College of Mass Communication, in the presence of each of the Prof. HebaShaheen, supervisor of the Faculty of Information at Ain Shams University, and Dr. May Hamza, supervisor of the Department of Communication and Media Sciences, Faculty of Arts, and Dr. Hatem Al-Abd, director of the center and a faculty member at the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University, and Dr. Islam Hegazy is a teacher of political science at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.

Prof. HebaShaheen was greeted by Dr. Hatem Al-Abd, Director of the Center, and the attendees. At the beginning of her speech, Her Excellency indicated the importance of the Center, the history of its establishment, and its prominent role in supporting decision-makers. Her Excellency also praised the Center's initiative to move to the various faculties of the university to spread political and legal awareness among the university's youth base. She also emphasized the importance of media professionals knowing the general political and legal principles, as well as adhering to the professional code of ethics for the media field.

         
   
         

As confirmed by Dr. Hatem Al-Abd on the importance of these educational courses to raise youth awareness of their rights, duties, and responsibilities. His Excellency dealt with a set of basic terms in the science of law, such as the concept of the state, types of public and private laws, and responsibilities of various kinds, along with how to apply that knowledge in the framework of media work.

Dr. directed Islam Hijazi thanked the Middle East Research Center and the College of Mass Communication for providing this opportunity to disseminate the principles of political and legal sciences among young people, then he reviewed a set of basic concepts and branches in political science, governance affairs, the relationship between the people and the ruling authorities, relations between states and some, and the most important phenomena and variables affecting domestic and foreign policies.

After the end of Dr. Hegazy, the discussion was opened in front of the students present and all their questions and inquiries were answered.

At the end of the lecture, Dr. Al-Abd, presented a certificate of honor to Prof. HebaShaheen, in appreciation for hosting the course, and to Dr. Islam Hegazi for his fruitful participation in the lecture.
