Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, on Thursday, December 15, 2022, the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the Faculty of Girls of Arts, Sciences and Education held the first forum entitled: “Issues of the Teaching Assistants and Researchers in Egyptian Universities”, headed by Prof. Dr. Amira Ahmed Youssef, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Hanan Muhammad Al-Shaer, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Rapporteur of the Forum.
The first forum for the postgraduate studies and research sector aims to present the challenges facing the Teaching Assistants and researchers in Egyptian universities. It also aims to strengthen the university and research path of the Teaching Assistants, identify available opportunities for funding and research grants, present proposals for the scientific and professional development of researchers, and work to raise awareness of services. And the opportunities available through Ain Shams University, which works to support them and develop their skills.
The inaugural session of the forum began with watching a brief presentation of the opinions of some researchers and the Teaching Assistants, through which they express their experience in master's and doctoral studies, and their proposals that may help in improving their conditions. Prof. Dr. Hanan Al-Shaer, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, conducted the results of the researcher's opinion poll and the Teaching Assistants on the issues related to them. Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef - Dean of the Faculty - gave a speech in which she responded to the demands of the assistant staff and researchers in the Faculty, and announced the office of caring for young researchers in the Faculty. Then the inaugural session concluded with a speech by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Salih, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and the Faculty's Scientific Research Ethics Committee presented the first session entitled "The Researcher Between Rights and Duties", and the session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Suad Ahmed Abdullah, Chairman of the Committee, and members Prof. Dr. Siham Al-Nuwaihi, and Prof. Dr. Hanan Ismail.
The forum was honored by the presence of a delegation representing the departments of Ain Shams University concerned with researchers’ affairs and the Teaching Assistants to present the services provided by the university to researchers, and how to benefit from them: Dr. Hani Shaker, Director of the Digital Library at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Rasha Ismail, Director of the E-portal of Ain Shams University and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computing Information for postgraduate studies and research.
The second session of the forum was entitled: "Opportunities available to researchers and the assistant body for study, training and research support", in which Prof. Asst. Dr/ Reem Al-Bardisi, Assistant Professor, Department of English, in an interview with officials of Ain Shams University departments, who presented the services provided by their departments to researchers, and how to benefit from the opportunities available for research, training, and funding:

In conclusion of the activities of the forum, Prof. Dr. Amira Ahmed Youssef, Dean of the Faculty , and Prof. Dr. Hanan Mohamed El-Shaer, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, dedicating the forum shield to the officials of the departments of Ain Shams University,
Participants in the exhibition of research products and their outputs competition, were honored, which was held on the sidelines of the forum and organized by Dr. Rana Mostafa. The results of the competition were announced, and the winners were awarded financial prizes, in addition to attending free workshops at the forum.
The paragraphs of the forum were broadcasted by Suad Mustafa, an assistant teacher in the Arabic Language Department at the Faculty.
