"Biochemistry of Healthy Nutrition Exhibition" for third-level PharmD students at the Faculty of Pharmacy

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Amani Osama Kamel, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Dr. Rehab Othman, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nadia Hamdy, Head of the Biochemistry Department, and Prof. Asst. Dr. Sherihan Galal, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Coordinator of the Course. Today, the third-level PharmD students in the Department of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy presented 50 activity models on various natural products and medicines under the title "Biochemistry Nutrition Health Fair", and made mockups, posters, and videos. They brought samples and other products related to metabolic processes and what is studied in the biochemistry approaches. They explained the chemical and natural compounds they contain for treatment or for various diseases or immunological diseases, various methods of protection, vital proteins, etc., and their role in health and disease and their impact on the well-being, pregnant women and children.

The students expressed their happiness with the idea and application of this type of activity, which adds to their knowledge, releases their creative energies, and increases the space for group work.

The faculty staff, administration of the faculty, and Prof. Dr. Nadia Hamdi, head of the department, thanked the students for their creativity, interest, and commitment in searching for information and presenting it in various creative ways.

Certificates were also handed over to outstanding students during the mid-semester exam for the academic year 2022/2023.

The Dean of the Faculty thanked the teaching assistants of the department who worked with the students, all the faculty staff of the department who are responsible for the ideas and organization, and the course coordinator Prof. Asst. Dr. Sherihan Jalal.
