November 5th... The Faculty of Law organizes the international conference on the legal and economic aspects of sustainable development in Egypt's 2030 vision

The Faculty of Law is organizing an international conference on the legal and economic aspects of sustainable development according to Egypt’s 2030 vision, on November 5-6. The organization of this scientific event comes in a scientific partnership with Cambridge University, and the Center for International Sustainable Development Law. Center for International Sustainable Development Law, in accordance with the convening of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh from 7 to 18 November.

The conference of the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University will address environmental protection and efforts to reduce climate change in times of crisis, especially in times of armed conflict, in a session that will be organized in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The conference will also focus on means of settling disputes arising in the context of sustainable development, especially those related to issues of the environment and climate change, in a session that will be organized in partnership with the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

It is worth noting that the conference of the Faculty of Law comes this year within the framework of a broader partnership with the University of Cambridge, the Center for International Sustainable Development Law and the Climate Law and Governance Initiative, where the faculty participates with the aforementioned partners and a number of other international partners in organizing a set of activities. Scientific Law and Governance Day will be held on the sidelines of COP27, led by this year's Climate Law and Governance Day, which will be held online on Friday, November 11, 2022.
