The University's Permanent Archives Committee holds its first meeting

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, the University's Permanent Archives Committee held its first meeting on Monday, January 2, 2023, in the meeting room of the University Information Network, Prof. Dr. Dean of the Faculty of Archeology and the chairman of the meeting committee extended his congratulations to the attendees on the occasion of the new Gregorian year, wishing success to all. Then, his excellency moved on to discuss the topics of the meeting, most notably the selection of a secretary for the committee, the dates of meetings, and the formation of a sub-committee to update the list of university archives.

It should be noted that this committee, The President of the University issued Decision No. 1378 on October 5, 2022, to form it under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, and the membership of the head of the central administration of the office of Prof. Dr. The university president, the university's assistant secretary-general for student affairs, the general manager for legal affairs, the general manager for accounts, the general manager for administrative affairs, the head of the central storage rooms, a representative of the National Documents House, and the trustees of faculties and institutes.

The committee is responsible for supervising, maintaining, and organizing the university's archives, making records for them, and approving the rules and controls necessary to preserve them. The committee is the link between the university and the National Archives.
