Under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Prof. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of University Hospitals, and Prof. Hala Suwaid, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, the disease clinic was opened and operated Occupational health in university hospitals, which will be managed by a group of professors and doctors specializing in occupational health at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams.
The clinic aims to preserve the health of hospital workers and prevent the dangers of their profession by conducting periodic visits to workplaces, conducting accurate measurements, identifying occupational exposures, providing advice to eliminate risks to workers' health, as well as periodic examination of workers for early detection of diseases that may occur in exposures. Work This service will evolve to be the early detection of various diseases for different ages, laboratory and clinical analyzes and research, according to the results of periodic examination, and informing the responsible bodies in the event of an occupational disease, in order to preserve the rights of the injured in terms of sick leave and compensation based on the disability arising from the occupational injury.
The Occupational Diseases Clinic also aims to examine health problems that may occur among hospital workers, identify risk factors and possible causes, and provide advice to solve and prevent these problems.
In the next phase, service provision will be expanded to workers and employees in various bodies, companies and factories, which are currently being contracted with.
The clinic is located in the Outpatient Clinics Building and will operate every Monday from 9 am to 12 noon.
