The Dean of the Faculty of Arts honors the winners of the Faculty in literary competitions for the university's celebration of the International Day of the Arabic Language

Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Rasha El Didi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, met faculty staff, masters students, and students who participated in Ain Shams University celebration competitions on the International Day of the Arabic Language and achieved advanced positions in the fields of arts and literature such as classical poetry, colloquial poetry, short story writing and the art of recitation the art of writing literary essays, scenarios, dialogue, and playwriting.

         
   
         

There was also a rich dialogue about the proposal of the Dean of the Faculty and the attendees to establish a monthly cultural salon in which distinguished professors at the literary, intellectual, and artistic levels meet to discuss and exchange ideas and creative works for them in order to enrich the intellectual movement of faculty staff and some distinguished students, and the idea of publishing these works was also proposed on an electronic platform for social communication between the faculty staff and those interested in this matter.

The Dean of the Faculty also stressed the Faculty's constant endeavor to support the distinguished in all fields and who are keen to participate in various events and competitions, whether at the local or international level, which would contribute to a high level of competition with the aim of scientific and academic progress.

She emphasized that the participants grew from the fact that the literary and artistic talent is not limited to the members of the Arabic language department, but rather that there are many distinguished participants belonging to other departments, which confirms that the artistic sense and linguistic taste are talents that can be refined and developed.

At the end of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty honored the winners by presenting words of thanks and gratitude, and certificates of appreciation as a culmination of their efforts in this regard.

Among the honorees was Prof. Dr. Mustafa Al-Shura, Professor in the Department of Arabic Language, for his presidency of the competition arbitration committee, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hamid Omar, Department of Arabic Language, on the membership of the arbitration committee, Prof. Dr. Ali Muhammad Hindawi, Professor in the Department of Arabic Language, for winning first place in classical poetry, Prof. Dr. Hussein Ali Hassan, Professor at the Department of Philosophy, for winning the first place in the field of the article, Dr. Muhammad Jaber, a teacher at the Department of History, for winning first place in the field of the short story, Dr. Ahmed Hamdi Al-Metwally, Department of Ancient European Civilization, for winning first place in scenario and dialogue, Dr. Rania Abdel Raouf Youssef, Department of Drama and Theatrical Criticism, for winning second place in the field of essay, Mohamed Sayed Abdel-Fattah, researcher in the master's degree in the Department of Arabic Language, for winning second place in the field of classical poetry, and Abed Nasser Fahmy, researcher in the master's stage, in the Department of Arabic Language, for winning third place in the field of colloquial poetry. The student, Nada Muhammad Samir, in her third year in the Arabic Language Department, for winning first place in the field of recitation.
