A cooperation protocol between Ain Shams University and Helwan University

In light of the openness of Ain Shams University to Egyptian, regional and international universities with the aim of developing the research and academic process, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. El-Sayed Qandil, President of Helwan University, signed a protocol to enhance cooperation between Ain Shams University and Helwan University in the field of higher education at various educational levels. administrative and developmental institutions in order to support the development of sustainable partnerships between them and the community.

The protocol included academic and non-academic activities that would enhance cooperation between faculty staff, researchers, teaching assistants, students, and workers from both parties, within the framework of the provisions of the Universities Organization Law and its implementing regulations.

         
   
         

The partnership activities between the two parties stipulated the exchange and delegation of faculty staff and support for cooperation between them in the fields of teaching and research, the exchange of scientific expertise and information, the exchange of students on the basis of recognizing the transfer of credit hours for study programs in accordance with the rules permitted by the academic regulations of the two universities, and the development and implementation of seminars, forums, workshops, and conferences. Of common interest, personal skills programs, leadership programs, entrepreneurship, vocational counseling, student activities, student support services, the use of administrative and financial competencies and expertise from former or current employees of the first party, and the use of faculty members’ clubs, social clubs and services in accordance with the objective controls of each club.

In his speech, Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini welcomed the deputies and deans attending from Helwan University, stressed that the partnership between Egyptian and foreign universities is a necessity that adds a lot to Egyptian universities and that the exchange of scientific and academic experiences between universities is a step worth experimenting with.

For his part, Prof. El-Sayed Qandil expressed his happiness with the partnership between the two universities and added that the universities of Egypt must follow the example of Ain Shams University in the development it has achieved during the past few years and that the vision of Ain Shams University is self-sufficiency in all sectors.

         
   
         

His Excellency also praised the Faculty of Environmental Studies and that it is of great importance at the global level. He also praised the digital transformation that took place within Ain Shams University, pointing out that Helwan University is also characterized by many majors that were established on the basis of community service.

He stressed that Helwan University needs the expertise of Ain Shams University in many fields, most notably the medical field and digital transformation.

Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, welcomed the attendees from Helwan University, and praised the prior cooperation between the two universities in the medical field, and that it is a good gesture for further cooperation, especially after the signing of a joint protocol between the two universities.

Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development, also expressed her happiness with the partnership between Ain Shams University and Helwan University, and that there is prior cooperation in many fields, and that this protocol will enhance this cooperation.

         
   
         

The signing of the cooperation protocol from Ain Shams University was attended by Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Amani Osama, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, at Ain Shams University.

And from Helwan University, Prof. Hossam Rifai, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mona Fouad Attia, Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Walid Al-Srougy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The signing ceremony of the protocol was also witnessed by Prof. Mohamed Rabih, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in El Matareya, Prof. Imad Abu Dahab, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Osama Imam, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Yasser Jadallah, Dean of the National Institute of Intellectual Property, Prof. Sameh Sorour, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy. Prof. Amal Lotfi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Amani Fakher, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Eman El Nashar, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Interdisciplinary Research, Prof. Hapy Hosni, Assistant to the President of Helwan University, Prof. Ahmed Farouk, Advisor to the President of the University for Student and University Activities, Prof. Omar Salman, Advisor to the President of the University, and Professor Muhammad Ali Salih, Advisor to the President of the University for Digital Transformation, and Professor Jalal Al-Jumaili, Advisor to the President of the University for Scientific Research, and Professor Muhammad Nasser, Secretary-General of the University.

After signing the protocol, the President of Ain Shams University gifted the University Shield to the President of Helwan University. The President of Helwan University also gave the Helwan University Shield to the President of Ain Shams University.
