A master's thesis in dentistry presents a solution to the problem of horizontal bone erosion resulting from tooth extraction, which impedes the process of dental implants.

Doctor Ahmed Bahaa El-Din Zaidan obtained a master's degree in dental implants and gum surgery with a grade of (very good) from the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, for a thesis entitled "Umbrella technique combined with adhesive bones in increasing horizontal bones."

The study aims to solve the problem of horizontal bone erosion resulting from tooth extraction, which hinders the process of implantation and replacement of teeth, using IPRF, which stimulates growth factors and is integrated with bone xenograft and placed around the eroded part of the bone after fixing screws in the jaw to contain the bone. The supervision and discussion committee consisted of Prof. Hala Kamal, Emeritus Professor of Periodontics, Diagnosis, and Oral Medicine, at the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, and a member of the Senate, Prof. Mohamed El Shahat, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry in Mansoura, and Prof. Mohamed Wagdy, Professor of Periodontics, Diagnosis and Oral Medicine, at the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, and Prof. Nevin Khair El-Din, Emeritus Professor of Periodontics, Diagnosis and Oral Medicine, at the Faculty of Dentistry.

The thesis was discussed in the presence of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Major General Bahaa El-Din Zaidan, Head of the Unified Procurement Authority, Major General Dr. Walid Essam, Chief Dentist of the Armed Forces, Prof. Mohamed Diaa, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University, Prof. Ashraf El Sayed Abu Khalaf Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Karim El-Batouty, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for Education and Student Affairs, Major General Dr. Raafat Riyad, Head of the Department of Surgery at Misr International University, and a group of faculty staff, teaching assistants, postgraduate students, and the researcher's family.
