A course in the use of computers for students of the Cairo educational district of Al-Azhar who are blinds and visually impaired at the Faculty of Arts

Within the framework of the efforts of the state and the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to care for people of determination and support them in all fields, and under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and supervised by Professor. Nadia Hashish, Director of the Electronic Vision Center.

       
 
       

The Faculty of Arts, represented by the Electronic Vision Center, held a training course for students of the three stages in the institutes of the Cairo Al-Azhar district who are blinds and visually impaired, for training on computer uses in the educational field, in the center's laboratories.

       
 
       

The course lasted for three days, ending on Thursday, February 3, during which the 30 students learned about the theoretical and practical aspects of what the computer is, its components, and its uses. Training was also conducted on using the speaking program as a technology tool to help increase academic achievement without obstacles. In addition to introducing the basics of writing and keyboard components, and dealing with educational materials by writing and listening.

       
 
       

Also, Mrs. Reham Assem, the center's secretary, Mrs. Asmaa Fayed Awad, and Mrs. Fatima Mohamed Abdel Rahman from the Student Welfare Department in Al-Azhar District in Cairo, participated in the preparation and implementation of the course. The training was also conducted by the training officials at the center: Mr. Mohamed Fattouh, Mr. Diaa Ahmed, Mr. Saleh Sayed Mohamed, Mr. Khaled Hamdy.
