The start of the first lectures of the partnership program between the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research in Ain Shams and the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources in the field of climate change

Within the framework of the efforts of the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research at Ain Shams University to spread awareness of climate change in Egypt and brotherly African countries, the first lectures of the training program organized by the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources in Egypt began to train officials of the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Environment in the brotherly state of Somalia, in partnership with the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research at the university.

The lecture was titled "Procedures for Adapting to Climate Change within the Framework of Integrated Water Resources Management in Africa" and was delivered by Prof. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty, with the aim of strengthening capabilities in the field of climate change.

The training group included 20 officials from the sister country of Somalia, and the lecture reviewed water resources in Africa and how to manage these resources rationally, and presented an introduction to climate change, its causes and impact on the African continent, ways to adapt and mitigate with various effects and climate changes, and explain the Egyptian experience in this field and how the continent benefits African ones.
