Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, signs the renewal of a memorandum of understanding with the German University of Stuttgart

Within the framework of the relentless endeavor of the administration of Ain Shams University to deepen and activate cooperation with its counterparts from international universities, today, Prof. Mahmoud El-Metieni, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Wolfram Russell, President of the University of Stuttgart, renewing the memorandum of understanding between Ain Shams University in Egypt and the University of Stuttgart in Germany, confirming the continuity of cooperation between them through the Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design program (IUSD))

The signing was witnessed by Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Program from the Egyptian side and from the German side, Dr. Silke Wieprecht, Vice-Chancellor for Diversity and Internationalization at the University of Stuttgart, attended the signing ceremony, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Mohamed Saleheen, founder and director of the Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design Program (IUSD), and Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Cooperation Sector.

         
   
         

The meeting also discussed upcoming cooperation steps and projects to deepen cooperation between the two sides, whereby the establishment of a joint Ph. It has more than 152 researchers from about 30 nationalities from all over the world.

It was also announced that the program had obtained a new cooperation project funded by the German Scientific and Academic Cooperation Authority (DAAD) to start a new cooperation with the State of Namibia, in cooperation between the Universities of Ain Shams and Stuttgart through the Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design Program (IUSD), to establish a master's degree at the University of Namibia for Science and Technology , in the State of Namibia, within the framework of the support of the Egyptian and German sides for higher education in African countries.

Both sides have expressed their great happiness at continuing and deepening joint cooperation and looking forward to more in the fields of higher education and scientific research.
