The Faculty of Agriculture, at Ain Shams University, in conjunction with the celebration of International Women's Day and in cooperation with the National Council for Women, Cairo Branch, organized a symposium entitled (Congratulation Card for Egyptian Women on International Women's Day "Your Way to the Internationalism "), under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, at Ain Shams University, Prof. Walaa Abdul Ghani Al-Sayed, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hisham Mohsen Al-Hariri, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
This is under the supervision of the National Council for Women, Cairo branch, represented by Mrs. Maha Marwan, rapporteur of the Cairo branch, Prof. Rokaya Shalaby, former dean of the Faculty for Women and alternate rapporteur at the Cairo branch, and in coordination with Prof. Naglaa Mohamed Obaid, Director of New Programs, Dr. Heba Nour- eldine Muhammad, General Coordinator of Student Activity in the new programs, and in the presence of Dalia Amin, a certified trainer in presentation and performance skills in English, a certified trainer in the adult education program at the American University for twenty years, and engineer Yasmine Roweed, the first woman geologist to break into the world of mining and exploration for gold and minerals in mines, and a group from the faculty staff of the faculty, members of the teaching assistants and students of the faculty.
The celebration is held to signify the general respect, appreciation, and love of women for their economic, political, and social achievements. This day is a symbol of the female struggle and demands to promote women’s rights by confronting discrimination and inequality. The event is an opportunity to conduct a real and realistic review of the achievements that have been made and to consider the challenges that women face within society.
That is why the global observance of International Women's Day is a time to reflect on just how far women have come, advocate for what is still needed, and work to continue breaking down barriers in a growing movement that focuses on both unity and strength.
