In light of the presence of a leadership that believes in the role of Egyptian women and its keenness to support and empower Egyptian women, and in appreciation of women's efforts in achieving the goals of sustainable development and Egypt's vision 2023, today Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Developmet inspected the activities of the first day of campaigns to detect osteoporosis, the mobile unit for early detection of breast cancer, and an awareness campaign for uterine cancer, which are held within the activities of the university’s celebration of the Egyptian Women’s Day and the ideal mother, which lasts for three days on the campus of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and organized by the Student Family for Central Egypt at Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Affairs and Environmental Development, and the supervision of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development.
During the tour, Prof. Ghada Farouk stressed the university's interest in women and the necessity of empowering them in society, affirming the university's full support for them through the activities it provides to take care of women's health and the provision of special campaigns for free examination and the preservation of their health.
This came in the presence of Prof. Amani Osama, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, praised the role of the university in supporting women and its interest in thanking and honoring women by providing them with health services, the greatest and greatest appreciation for preserving their health, which they neglect in their lives as a result of pressure.
The ceremony was organized by Prof. Jihan Rajab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Hatem Rabih, Leader of the Student Family for Central Egypt, Ain Shams University, Prof. Hind Al-Hilali, Director of the Women's Support and Anti-Violence Unit at Ain Shams University, and Prof. Sherawat Al-Ahmadi, Director of the Expatriate Department at the University, Prof. Dina Farouk Abu Zaid, Director of the Media Center of Ain Shams University, Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Deputy Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center for Development Affairs at Ain Shams University.
The first day of awareness campaigns was held under the supervision of Prof. Mona El Sebaei, Professor of Rheumatology and Rehabilitation, at the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University, on the Osteoporosis Campaign Clinic, and the Breast Cancer Campaign Clinic, Dr. Huda Muhammad Kamel, a gynecologist and family planning doctor in Al-Nozha Medical District, during which 47 cases of osteoporosis and 52 cases of early detection of breast cancer were examined, and 4 cases were transferred for ultrasound examination by equipped mobile detection vehicles.
The free campaigns will continue until Thursday, March 15th.
