The visit of a delegation from European universities to the Faculty of Pharmacy

A delegation from European universities visited the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, as part of the activities of establishing the professional diploma program in immunological changes IMCert, funded by the European Union Erasmus plus program, and they are: Professor Urlich. Sach, representative of the University of Leipzig, Germany, Professor Claude Lambert, representative of the University of Lorient, France, and Professor Michael Kirchfenick, the external resident of the project, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Amani Kamel, Dean of the Faculty.

The visit was in the presence of Prof. Rola Melad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and a Prof. Abdel Nasser Badawi Sengab, former Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Khaled Abu Zaid, Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Prof. Nadia Hamdy, Head of the Biochemistry Department.

Ain Shams University is participating in the project with four other Egyptian universities, namely Al-Azhar University, the main researcher of the project, Cairo University, Damanhour, and Aswan.

This is under the supervision of Prof. Khaled Abu Shanab, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and the university coordinator for this project, who presented what has been accomplished in the project and the faculty’s preparation at the outset for the necessary steps to adopt this program, which will be the first internationally accredited postgraduate program in the faculty. The participants in this project are the University of Leipzig in Germany, the University of Lorient in France, and the National University of Athens in Greece.

It is scheduled that the necessary steps will be completed for the approval of this program locally, and the possibility of studying and joining this program, starting from the academic year 2023/2024.
