The Faculty of Education organizes an intensive training course for students on biodiversity and 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment

Within the framework of the keenness of the Faculty of Education at Ain Shams University on the need for environmental awareness and the preservation of the sustainability of resources and international efforts related to biodiversity issues and the sustainable development plan and their importance in Egypt's vision 2030, and in light of the implementation of the Egyptian state's directives in this regard of the need to continue awareness for all workers in preserving the environment And working on its development, the Faculty of Education implemented an intensive training course for college students from all disciplines in the college, under the auspices of Prof. Safaa Shehata, Acting Dean of the Faculty, and coordination through Prof. Alaa El Din Abdel Halim Mohamed Farag, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The environment is represented by the Environmental Affairs Agency through the Central Administration for Organization, Management and Training and with the efforts of the training course coordinator, and Mr. Ashraf Abdel Moneim Al-Nagar from the Environmental Affairs Agency.

         
   
         

On the first day, the training was conducted by Ms. Israa Saber, a specialist from the Ministry of Environment. The training focused on biodiversity, natural environments, ecosystems, risks facing biodiversity, national and international efforts to preserve nature reserves and their role in achieving sustainable development and preserving biodiversity. On the second day of training, the focus was on Also on biodiversity topics and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The training was conducted by Dr. Ola Abdel-Hadi, and Dr. Mohamed Kamel, a specialist in environmental studies and research, completed his training on the impact of climate change on biodiversity, methods of preserving biodiversity, and Egypt's efforts through its conscious plans in this field.

At the end of the two-day intensive training course, a set of recommendations were concluded, centered on the need to raise awareness among all segments of society, especially students, of the importance of appreciating the role of the Egyptian state in preserving the environment and biological diversity, the importance of sustainable development and contributing to reducing emissions, and the need to preserve the environment as a responsibility fall on everyone.

At the end of the training course, many memorial photos were taken for the audience and trainers. In conclusion, it was emphasized the importance of continuing training on all topics related to the environment, which in turn contributes to raising awareness of the requirements of the environment and its preservation, which is reflected in the comprehensive development of the environment in Egypt's vision 2030 and contributes to achieving The mission of the college and university in the field of community service and environmental development.
