The Innovators and Talents Welfare Fund announced the victory of the Innovation Clubs team at Ain Shams University, ASU-iHub, as part of the winning teams in the 2023 Change Makers Competition, which was launched last February, and who passed the first and second qualifiers conducted by the fund, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Al-Buhairi, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Deputy Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Islam Adly, the supervisor of student activity, ASU-iClub, and thus students became eligible for financial support, training, guidance and counseling provided by the Fund.
6 teams representing 5 universities won the Change Makers competition, and financial support amounting to EGP 40,000 will be disbursed to qualified teams as soon as they complete the letters of candidacy from universities and sign contracts with the fund, and training for members of student teams will start from the 27th of next March.
And if the Fund wishes all success to the winning teams in developing their ideas and bringing them to distinguished levels that qualify them to obtain the financial prizes presented by the Fund at the end of the competition, which amounts to 400 thousand pounds.
The winning teams are Ain Shams University, South Valley University - Pharos University in Alexandria, Tanta University, East Port Said University of Technology.
