Participation of Ain Shams University in the Health Care Fund of the Ministry of Higher Education

In recent years, Ain Shams University has witnessed a great development at all levels, starting with the development of the infrastructure of most of the university's faculties and institutes, through the development of curricula, interest in scientific research, and participation on behalf of the university in many conferences and local and international forums.

Caring for the health of her children among the faculty staff and their assistants, as well as university employees, was at the top of her list of priorities throughout this period, starting with providing and improving medical service within the entire university hospitals, contracting with many pharmacies whose branches are spread across the governorates, as well as participating in the health insurance service for the university employees, to obtain a diversity in the medical service, which would continue in the circle of continuous improvement.

This was crowned by the University Council’s decision to support, sponsor and preside over Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, in his session held on 12/26/2022, in which the subscription was approved for all faculty staff (including those over seventy years old) and their assistants, as well as university workers in the Health Care Fund of the Ministry of Higher Education, in cooperation with Misr Insurance Company.

Emphasizing that these contributions have been funded by the university either from the budget or from the Employees Improvement Fund without any additional deduction from the salaries of faculty staff or university employees.

And as a continuation of this great effort, the services of the Medical Care Fund of Ain Shams University will be benefited after the insurance limit of the Health Care Fund of the Ministry of Higher Education has been exhausted, and new cards will be distributed through faculties and institutes during the next week.

Messrs. faculty staff and employees are obligated to benefit from the fund’s services upon receipt of the card, including that examination in clinics, radiology, analysis, emergency services, endoscopy, and accommodation in Ain Shams Specialist Hospital, as well as benefiting from it in dispensing chronic and acute medicines from contracting pharmacies.

We confirm that participation in the services of this fund is a complement and addition to the services of the University's Medical Care Fund and not a substitute for it.

The management of Ain Shams Specialized Hospital and the administration of Al-Obour University Hospital are also honored to receive the faculty staff and employees and to provide them with medical services by benefiting from the health care fund of the Ministry of Higher Education.
