Higher Education: The appointment of Dr. Abeer Al-Shater as General Supervisor of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank

Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced that Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, issued Resolution No. 1173 of 2023 regarding the appointment of Dr. Abeer Al-Shater, Assistant Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Technical Affairs, as general supervisor of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, in addition to her work, for a period general.

It is worth noting that Dr. Abeer Al-Shater is a professor at the Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University. She obtained her PhD from the Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University, and lectured at many local and international universities. She also supervised many scientific theses in Egypt and abroad, and held many scientific and administrative positions, including an advisor to the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, an expert at the Science, Technology, and Innovation Funding Authority, she also held the position of a scientific ambassador for Egypt in one of the regional planning organizations in the United Kingdom, a reviewer at the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority, a deputy director of the quality unit at the Faculty of Engineering, at Ain Shams University, an international reviewer, and a deputy Editor-in-Chief and editor in many international scientific journals. She also received many awards for publishing, scientific arbitration, and designing public spaces. She contributed to writing and editing many scientific books in the field of urban design issued by international publishing houses.

Her scientific research exceeded more than 140 refereed scientific papers in major international publishing houses on her own, in partnership with local and international researchers. She also headed and arbitrated many funded research projects. She has extensive experience in preparing technical reports, master plans, and research projects in the field of urban design, higher education policies, and scientific research.
