During the education and student affairs sector session... Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud: We appreciate the efforts of the wise political leadership in achieving development despite the global circumstances

Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, chaired the seventh session of the Education and Student Council, where Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, began the session, explaining the efforts of the education sector and students in supporting university students from the people of the sister country of Sudan, as the sector’s administration provided international communication lines for students to be able to check on their families in Sudan, appreciating the efforts of the great and wise political leadership in containing the Sudanese people and all the peoples of the region who are going through internal conflicts, with the ability to lead the state wisely and achieve development rates at various levels.

Then Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud congratulated Prof. Heba Shaheen, for the issuance of a decision by the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Media, wishing her success and congratulated Prof. Salwa Suleiman Abdel Hamid for the issuance of the decision to appoint Her Excellency as the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Media for Education and Student Affairs, wishing her success.

         
   
         

As Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud honored Mr. Muhammad Al-Sharqawi, former Acting Director General of Youth Welfare, for his tangible efforts during his tenure of the General Administration of Youth Welfare. He congratulated Mr. Tariq Ahmed for assuming the management of the General Administration of Youth Welfare.

During the session, Prof. Abd al-Fattah Saoud, honored the student Abd al-Wahhab Sayed Ahmed Imam at the Faculty of Nursing for his excellence in reciting and memorizing the Holy Qur’an, pointing out that the student Abd al-Wahhab provides a distinguished model for his peers to follow in achieving his religious commitment in a moderate manner with his academic excellence in one of the practical faculties, which qualifies him to be a distinguished person upon his graduation scientifically and practically.

The session included a simplified report on the Kayan Center presented by Prof. Walaa Anis, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, explaining that the idea of establishing the center goes back to a Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, in order to keep pace with development and the latest findings of science to support the university’s artistic activities, its entry into local and international forums, achieve first positions, and train the largest number of students wishing to achieve artistic excellence in various activities in (music, oriental and western singing, teaching music in all its disciplines, and presenting Curricula on various types of musical instruments and training students on the Trinity curriculum.

The protocol was not limited to musical skills only, but also extended to artistic skills, in order to satisfy students from inside and outside the university in all respects, and to develop public taste and raise the level of students in the university.

The first activities of the center were announced, as (70) male and female students attended the first session, and (149) male and female students from inside and outside the university studied in the second session.

The training included various instruments such as (violina – guitar – oud – in addition to a number of educational instruments such as mandolin – xylophone – keyboard – drum machine – international singing – flute – piano – piano (for people with special needs) – in addition to training. Trinity piano, zither, drums, cello.

After the end of the course, the students presented a wonderful music concert, which was witnessed by all the attendees, in addition to the third course taught by (46 male and female students) during the current period.

The activity of the Kayan Center was not limited to musical activities only, but extended to provide artistic training, development and refinement of the artistic talents of students and the improvement of the general artistic taste. A course was announced for 100 students as a free scholarship provided by the university administration, and after a personal interview was held and the tendencies of students applying from various faculties of the university were investigated. They were divided into six branches and different activities, which are drawing and painting - pottery - sculpture - design - leather works - textile printing. The course is offered by specialized professors from the Faculty of Specific Education.

Prof. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Business, presented a report on the position of the project on governance of the education and student affairs sector in terms of administration, which began a year and a half ago, and is close to completing all stages of measuring performance rates in a scientific way to achieve the best administrative and educational service provided For university students, to achieve the best care for workers in the sector, and to develop their skills in order to raise their efficiency.

The project began by studying the organizational structure of the education and student affairs sector, photographing the actual organizational map and comparing it with the map approved by the Central Agency for Organization and Administration, monitoring the differences and proposing an effective organizational map.Then a specialization guide for public administrations and affiliated departments was prepared, followed by the preparation of job descriptions and description cards for all jobs in the sector.

This was followed by preparing key performance indicators for jobs, KPIs, and then preparing a training needs plan for each sector based on job descriptions and performance indicators. Training programs will start in the second half of May.

It is worth noting that the study team is composed of professors specializing in economics and business administration.

Also, Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, reviewed the procedures for starting the exams for the second semester for the academic year 2022/2023, directing the need to quickly end all the procedures followed for the exams from announcing the exam schedules in their final form, including all instructions and regulations for exams, as well as instructions and procedures for solidarity so that all procedures are clear and announced to students before the exams start.

With an emphasis on the instructions for precautionary measures and the necessary measures to preserve the health of all parties to the educational system.

As Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud recommended to pay attention to people with special needs and provides all their needs to achieve accessibility for them. His Excellency emphasized the interest in integration students and the provision of all necessary services and facilities for them while maintaining the seriousness of exams.

Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, confirmed need to complete examination and maintenance procedures for security and civil defense to ensure the security and safety of students during the examination period, and regarding medical procedures, it was confirmed that the medical emergency rooms in the students’ hospital are equipped and supplied with supplies and medicines to deal immediately with sick cases and publish all contact information for the central ambulance system in hospitals to serve the university In full, directing the medical centers in the faculties and university cities to work at full strength and the full periods scheduled for the entire examinations to ensure the safe conduct of examinations.
