The day before yesterday, the activities of the eleventh international scientific conference of Ain Shams University concluded, which lasted for two days under the title "Knowledge Economy... for a Better Life", with the participation of many professors and specialists from Egyptian universities, Jenner Institute - University of Oxford, UAE University, Association of Arab Universities, Arab Council for Health Specializations - Arab Board, and King Abdulaziz University.
The closing ceremony was attended by Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Vice President of the Conference, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and a group of deans, vice-faculties, and chairpersons.
The closing ceremony also witnessed honoring a number of participants, including: Prof. Ahmed Ali Murad, associate deputy for scientific research at the United Arab Emirates University, Prof. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Sabih Abbas Mashhadani, Director of Measurement and Evaluation at the Arab Council for Health Specializations - Arab Board, Mohamed Ahmed Hassanein, Vice Adviser of King Abdulaziz University for Educational Affairs and Head of the Evaluation Unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Omar Al-Rawas, Secretary General of the Arab Council for Health Specializations, Aadil El-Turabi, Adrian Hill, Ahmed M. Salman, Berna Bou Tayeh, Blandine Franke Fayard, César López-Camacho, Ellie (Eleanor) Barnes, Gulbuse Turan, Iman Satti, Lisa Stockdale, Rachel Tanner Jenner Institute - University of Oxford, Dr. Ahmed Hegazy, General Manager of Sanofi Specialized Care - Sanofi Egypt, Dr. Tamer El Mahlawy, Head of the Medical Department - Sanofi Egypt, Mrs. Ghada Michel, Head of Community Services Department at Sanofi Egypt and Sudan, Dr. Ahmed Sabry, Head of the Remote Diseases Unit - Sanofi Egypt, Prof. Nasser Ayoub Partner and Consultant Climate Change and Environment D-Carbon Company as Sustainability and Climate Change Partner.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman, from the Faculty of Specific Education, presented a session on guitar, and Dr. Marwa Amr from the Faculty of Specific Education, presented a session on violin, while the Arab Harmony Choir presented a number of individual and group songs.
It is worth noting that the opening ceremony of the conference witnessed the awarding of an honorary doctorate to the global economist, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund and Director of the United Nations, who is interested in climate change and a climate pioneer for the Egyptian presidency of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (COP27), and the UN Special Envoy on Financing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
