Under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the results of the grand theatrical acting competition for the academic year 2022/2023 have been announced at the stage of the Faculty of Girls. The festival jury consisted of Prof. Ahmed Megahed, head of the Department of Drama and Theatrical Criticism at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, the distinguished artist, director Nasser Abdel Moneim, former head of the Art House for Theatre, the distinguished artist Mohamed Hashem, director general of artistic production at the Ministry of Culture.
Mr. Tariq Ahmed, Acting Director General of the General Department of Youth Welfare, welcomed the audience and members of the jury at the evening, which was held on a limited scale in consideration of the end-of-year exams, and conveyed to the students the greetings of Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and His Excellency promised to hold a large ceremony to distribute prizes to the winning students and those holding positions at a date to be determined later after the end of the exams in the interests of the students.
The announcement of the results came in the presence of Prof. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Student Activities, supervised by Mr. Tariq Ahmed, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, Mr. Mustafa Issa, Director of the Artistic Activity Department, Mrs. Hind Hamed, Head of the Department of Performing Arts, Mr. Abdel-Fadil Kamal, supervisor of performing arts, Mr. Ahmed Adel, responsible for operating the theater.
Prof. Ahmed Megahed, Head of the Department of Drama and Theatrical Criticism at the Faculty of Arts, gave a speech congratulating the winning students and the recommendations of the committee first, then the results of the festival were announced, and the names of the winning students and the positions they obtained.
The Faculty of Specific Education won first place for the theatrical performance "Al- Dukhan ", and the Faculty of Law won second place for the theatrical performance "Sisyphus", the man who was stolen by the Ladder, while the Faculty of Business won third place for the theatrical performance "Al-Natha".
The best actor award was jointly awarded to the student Mahmoud Tawfiq, Faculty of Business, for the theatrical performance “Al-Natha” and the student Ephraim Kamel, at the Faculty of Specific Education, for the theatrical performance “Al-Dukhan”.
And second place was won by the best actor student, Ahmed Hisham, at the Faculty of Science, for the theatrical show “Folan”.
While the student Ahmed Nader, at the Faculty of Law, won third place as the best actor for the theatrical show "Sisyphus".
And for the Best Actress award, the student Rawan Ahmed won first place at the Faculty of Business for her theatrical show “Al- Natha”.
And the second place for the best actress, student Esraa Atef, at the Faculty of Specific Education, for the theatrical show " Al-Dukhan ".
While Hamsa Ali, a student at the Faculty of Law, won third place as the best actress for the theatrical show "Sisyphus".
And for the award for the best actor in a second role, the student Mahmoud Abdel-Shafi, at the Faculty of Business, won first place for the theatrical show “Al-Natha”.
And the second place for the best actor in a second role was won by student Ziyad Al-Qadi from the Faculty of Al-Alsun for the theatrical show “Tractors of the Canyons”.
While the third place was awarded to the best actor in a second role, the student Louay Sami, at the Faculty of Specific Education, for the theatrical show “Al-Dukhan”.
And for the award for the best actress in a second role, the student Fatima Al-Zahraa, at the Faculty of Specific Education, won first place for the theatrical show " Al-Dukhan ".
The student Priscilla Sami of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences won second place for the best actress in a second role, for the theatrical show “Suez Houses”.
While the student Martina Mark, at the Faculty of Engineering, won third place for the best actress in a second role, for the theatrical show “Al-Mahrousa”.
