The Faculty of Archeology announces the results of the second-semester exams for the undergraduate and graduate studies for the academic year 2022-2023

Under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Hossam Tantawy, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, said that the faculty completed exams for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in all programs of the faculty on 6/14. The results were monitored and announced electronically within the framework of the digital transformation pursued by Ain Shams University through the electronic control program prepared by the experts of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at the university within the university management system UMS.

Prof. Ahmed Al-Shawki, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research stated that the examination work for postgraduate programs has been completed. Dr. Sawsan Yahya, Head of Postgraduate Studies Control, stated that this included the following programs: (Master and Diploma in Ancient Egyptian Antiquities, Master in Islamic Antiquities, Master in Greek and Roman Antiquities, Master and Diploma in Archeology and Excavation Sciences, Master and Diploma in Museums and Archaeological Sites Management), and students can learn about their results after enter the username and password for each student through the following link:

Dr. Bassem Sayed Youssef, Head of Control for the First Level, pointed out that the general success rate in this level reached 93.5%, while the success rates for the faculty programs ranged between 100% in the Archaeological and Heritage Information Systems Program, 93% in the Ancient Egyptian Antiquities Program, and 91.3% in Islamic Antiquities, 86.7% in Greek and Roman Antiquities, 95.5% in the Archeology and Excavations Program, and 94.2% in the Museums and Archaeological Sites Management Program.

Dr. Nawal Jaber, in her turn, head of the second level control, stated that the general success rate in this level amounted to 99.78%, while the success rates for the faculty programs ranged between 100% in the Ancient Egyptian Antiquities Program, 100% in the Islamic Antiquities Program, and 100% in the Greek Antiquities Program. Romanian, 100% in the Archeology and Excavations Program, and 98.9% in the Museums and Archaeological Sites Management Program.

On her part, Dr. Ghada Fayed, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit, said that the faculty is in compliance with the directives of the university administration and in accordance with the decisions of the Faculty Council;

It succeeded in activating the question banks system and electronic correction for all exams at the end of the second semester of the academic year 2022/2023 AD, and its questions were extracted from the question banks, and 68 banks were included in the courses of the second semester of the undergraduate level (first and second levels) with a total number of questions of 6900 questions, in addition to 17 banks have been included for postgraduate studies, with a total number of questions of 1650.

With regard to electronic correction; The correction of all the exams of the second semester has been completed, by correcting 2975 exam papers for 87 exams, with 51 exams for the first level and 36 exams for the second level. All examination papers were evaluated in terms of form and wording of questions, as well as extracting reports and data on students' results and comparing their estimates, and reports on test analysis and questions.
