The activities of the training program for the qualifying of Ain Shams University employees for the national project for reading from all its faculties participating in the training were concluded at the headquarters of the Faculty of Education at Ain Shams University under the auspices of His Excellency Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Development Affairs Environment and Prof. Safaa Shehata, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Alaa El Din Abdel Halim, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Hassan Abdel Maqsoud, Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, at the Faculty of Education, at Ain Shams University, in coordination with Dr. Muhammad Al-Taher is a faculty member in the Arabic Language Department. The training lasted from 9 to 13 July 2023, in its program, the aim was to provide the participants with the necessary reading skills and to refine their critical reading personalities in order to qualify them to participate in the National Reading Project in its next edition, the program lasted for five days, with a daily training workshop presented by professors of the Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies at the Faculty of Education at Ain Shams University, a large number of students from the faculties of Ain Shams University participated in the program, which was represented by the faculties of Education, Arts, Sciences, Girls, Al-Alsun, Agriculture and Nursing, after completing its activities and conducting the necessary tests, the program resulted in ten distinguished people who successfully passed the training program from the faculties of Education, Arts and Agriculture, who demonstrated proficiency in various reading skills. It is worth noting that the National Reading Project aims to develop awareness of the importance of reading, empower generations with the keys to innovation, and support their national and human values.
At the end of the training program, group memorial photos were taken, and the participants affirmed their great happiness with the idea of comprehensive language skills training, and the extent of the benefit that had been achieved for them.
