Ain Shams University hosted, on the morning of Monday, June 17, in the I HUb Building, a workshop with the participation of the Vice-Presidents of Egyptian Universities for Postgraduate Studies and Research and the Director of the Central Administration for Expatriates at the Ministry of Higher Education.
Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research, explained that the meeting comes to discuss how to improve and develop the graduate studies system for international students in Egyptian universities. Ain Shams University took the initiative to hold the workshop out of its belief in the importance of increasing the number of international students from different countries of the world at the stage of postgraduate studies in Egyptian universities, as this will magnify Egypt's pioneering role in Arab and African countries and all continents of the world, and it will also have a financial return in foreign currencies, which represents additional income for the Egyptian economy.
He pointed out that the meeting dealt with all stages of "the expatriate student's journey to Egypt at the postgraduate level", starting with his knowledge of the specializations available in different universities, then the stage of progress, approval of his enrollment and the problems he faces within Egyptian universities in various disciplines, as well as the financial aspects and all that is related to it.
And Prof. Ayman Saleh added that there is a platform that was launched 4 years ago through which international students can submit applications to enroll in Egyptian universities, and during the meeting they discussed how to improve the performance of the platform.
Also, during the meeting, the complaints of some international students about the reality of practical experience were reviewed, and proposals were put forward from different universities. Ain Shams University classified and categorized all proposals to submit them to the Supreme Council of Universities.
