The President of Ain Shams University participates in the visit of the delegation of university leaders to discuss cooperation mechanisms with the University of London for interdisciplinary disciplines
Prof.  Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, participated in the visit of a delegation of university leaders headed by Prof.   Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to discuss supporting ways of joint cooperation between Egypt and Britain in the field of employment, professional development and educational institutions, where Dr.  Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the accompanying delegation of university presidents representing the seven regions in Egypt, visited the University of London interdisciplinary school, which is one of the distinguished universities in the field of interdisciplinary study programs in British education, and is linked to supporting the employment file and the labor market.
The university administration presented to the Egyptian delegation the latest interdisciplinary study programs that keep pace with the requirements of the contemporary and future labor market, and how to solve problems facing the process of developing the educational and research process. Problems are presented Infront of students and train them on how to confront them with advanced scientific, research and application foundations, and according to a sound scientific approach. Distinguished professors are also used to teach interdisciplinary programs.
The delegation discussed the mechanisms of accepting students’ selection before joining the university, the mechanisms of teaching and learning during the study period, and the job opportunities available to them after graduation, the university administration confirmed its keenness to make the university experience unique in Britain, by following up graduates and ensuring that they obtain suitable and suitable job opportunities that are compatible with the studies previously provided by the university to its students.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Egyptian delegation visited UCL’s pavilion on entrepreneurship and innovation, where the university’s latest efforts to support innovation, entrepreneurship and startups were presented, as well as organizing a dialogue session on joint cooperation opportunities between the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its institutions and the British UCL University and cooperation in transferring expertise from the university’s major business incubator to similar models in Egyptian universities.
The visit witnessed the presence of university presidents representing the seven regions, who are: (Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Dr. Abdulaziz Qansouh, President of Alexandria University, Dr. El-Sayed Abdel-Azim El-Sharkawy, President of Suez University, Dr. Mustafa Abdel-Khalek, President of Sohag University, Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, Dr. Ahmed El-Manshawy, President of Assiut University, Dr. Essam El-Din Farhat, President of Minia University), as well as the presence of Dr.  Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, Dr.  Ayman Farid, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning, Training and Qualification for the Labor Market, Advisor Ahmed Ezzat, Deputy Ambassador of Egypt to the United Kingdom, and Dr. Rasha Kamal, the Egyptian cultural attaché and director of the educational mission in the United Kingdom, and Mr. Abdullah Hussein Hamouda, the ministry’s consultant for the implementation of the central unit for employment centers.
