Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Acting President of the University, and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, received this morning, Monday, August 7, a high-level delegation from the University of Dar es Salaam Kontur, Indonesia, in the presence of Prof. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, to discuss ways of research and academic cooperation and student exchange between the two sides.

In her speech, Prof. Ghada Farouk welcomed the cooperation, stressing that Ain Shams University is pleased to open prospects for cooperation with universities of a prestigious reputation.
She also talked about the distinguished programs in the university's faculties, especially in the faculties of computers, information and agriculture, calling for cooperation and exchange at the level of joint scientific research in the agricultural field, especially in light of the discrepancy between the nature of research between the two parties, which represents an opportunity to exchange experiences.
Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, also welcomed the various fields of cooperation, stressing the depth of the relations between the two countries, pointing to the possibility of cooperation in various fields, including academic and student exchange, and increasing the number of Indonesian students studying at Ain Shams University, referring to The university is ready to carry out an introductory propaganda plan to attract students from Indonesia to join Ain Shams University to benefit from its distinguished programs, pointing out that the Faculty of Al-Alsun has a distinguished center for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and it can be used as a preparatory part (online) for students before coming to Egypt.
He added that Ain Shams University is always striving to obtain local and international quality, referring to Ain Shams as the first public university in Egypt that joined the international evaluation system (Qs stars), which made there an international partner and observer constantly, contributing to the development of part of the university's strategic plan. He explained that the university’s endeavors in this regard began in 2013, and in 2021 the university was able to obtain five stars in the Qs classification, and we aspire to renew this classification, which extends to only three years.
The Vice President for Education and Students confirmed that Ain Shams University is present in all advanced international classifications, and its classification ranges from 700 to 800 in the (US news) (Qs) and (Shanghai) classifications, pointing out that the university has an ambitious plan for rapid progress in these classifications over a period of time. the next four years.
He added that the university also pays attention to accreditation, as all the programs of the Faculty of Pharmacy have been accredited internationally, in addition to accreditation for the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Engineering and Dentistry are being accredited internationally.
There are also joint programs with prestigious universities, such as the joint program between the University's Faculty of Law and the University of Lyon, France, in addition to two international programs at the Faculty of Business, which are the Oshin-Kane program in the United States and a program with the University of Poitiers.
Prof. Abdel Fattah Saooud stated that the university also pays great attention to students, referring to the many services provided by the university to its students, as it is one of the best universities in terms of student activities at the cultural, artistic and mathematical levels to prepare suitable graduates to join society, and Ain Shams University also has the largest system to support international students.
His Excellency also talked about the university's interest in linking its programs to the labor market, referring to the university's innovation and entrepreneurship center, the employment center, and the training center for students and administrators to govern the administrative system, stressing that the university has made great strides in the field of digital transformation and that by the end of this year all services will be provided electronically.
