Two researchers at Ain Shams University won the award for the best master's thesis and the best doctoral dissertation from the Egyptian Mathematics Association 2023

Researcher Hadeer Mahmoud Abdel Hafeez Gad won the Prof. Abdel Shafi Fahmy Obada prize for the best master's thesis in the applied mathematics branch, granted by the Faculty of Education, at Ain Shams University, under the supervision of Prof. Fawzi Muhammad Fahmy Al-Saba (may God have mercy on him) and Prof. Tariq Saleh Amer, Dr. Muhammad Ali Abdul Rahman (may God have mercy on him).

Dr. Rasha Mohammadi Al-Sayed Abdel-Hamid also received the Prof. Intisarat Al-Shabki prize for the best Ph.D. thesis in the branch of pure mathematics, and the thesis was granted by the Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University, under the supervision of Prof. Nashat Farid Muhammad, Dr. Labib Rashid (may God have mercy on him), and Dr. Enas Mohie Shehata Suleiman.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian Mathematics Society awards prizes for the best master's and doctoral dissertations in various branches of mathematics, which include the applied mathematics branch (Professor Abdel Shafi Obada Prize), the pure mathematics branch (Professor Intisarat El Shobaki Prize), and the statistics and computer science branch Professor Bahaa El-Din Helmy Prize) at the level of Egyptian universities periodically every year.

The researcher Hadeer (equally) won the award for the best master's thesis due to the importance of the thesis in terms of subject and approach and its applied importance, as the thesis presents an integrated picture of some dynamic issues through topological analysis of them, finding periodic solutions, as well as finding critical points.

Vibrational motion issues are also considered important and remarkable in the field of applied mathematics, especially in the movement of mechanical systems whose design includes a flexible pendulum, this is because of its many engineering applications such as pumps, movement, and balance of ships, damping of installations that are exposed to ground vibrations, and the movement of robots, as well as in various fields of transport.

It is worth noting that Mrs. Hadeer has obtained a bachelor's degree with excellent grades and a master's degree with excellent grades from the Faculty of Education at the university, and she has published 4 international research papers from her master's thesis under the supervision of her professors.

Dr. Rasha Mohammadi (participant) also won the award for the best doctoral dissertation on the theory of the general quantum differential effect, in which the beta Laplace transform was studied, the general quantum convolution theory was studied, as well as the study of exponential beta functions in the algebraic Banach space, and the study of the stability properties of linear beta equations in Banach algebraic space.

Dr. Rasha obtained her master's and doctoral degrees from the Faculty of Science at the university, and she published 4 research papers from her doctoral dissertation under the supervision of her professors.

The university administration wishes their masters more excellence and brilliance in appreciation of their distinguished scientific efforts. It is commendable that the leadership of Ain Shams University pays great attention to young researchers and works to encourage them and promote the spirit of academic excellence, innovation, and scientific research in various fields in order to achieve its comprehensive mission of achieving excellence and leadership and to achieve the highest levels of competitive advantage in all fields.
