The second meeting of the Board of Directors of the Saffron Museum was held yesterday, headed by Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of the University and Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and in the presence of Prof. Mamdouh El-Damaty, Egyptologist and archaeologist at Ain Shams University, former Minister of Antiquities and General Supervisor of the Zaffran Museum, and His Excellency Major General Ahmed Lashin, Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Walaa El-Din Badawi, Director of the Saffron Museum, Dr. Rasha Ismail, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences for Graduate Studies and Research and Director of the Electronic Portal of the University Information Network, and Mr. Amr Ali, General Manager of Private Accounts.
In her speech, Prof. Ghada Farouk thanked and appreciated Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini for the speedy completion of the Saffron Museum in a record period, as well as to Prof. Mamdouh El-Damaty for his prominent role during the period of preparation, equipping and supervising the museum, which won the admiration of all its visitors since the day of its opening, stressing the university’s keenness to have a greater role for the Zaffran Museum in the coming period.
