The Faculty of Alsun hosted a student delegation from Hiroshima University

Under the patronage of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University, received a student delegation from Hiroshima University in Japan, headed by Mrs. Atsuko Okumura, Hiroshima University coordinator at the university office in Cairo, and a number of Japanese supervisors, in the presence of Muhammad Abdel Rahman Ashiba, a lecturer in the department, and a number of faculty staff and teaching assistants, and the department's students.

         
   
         

Prof. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, indicated that the Japanese Language Department at the Faculty was established in 2000, and more than 100 students study there. She stressed the importance of increasing the number of scholarships for students at the College to Japanese universities, as well as the joint supervision between the two sides of master’s and doctoral theses, and that cooperation at the level of student exchange and professor exchange with the aim of raising the efficiency of teaching and learning the Japanese language, and overcoming all obstacles facing Japanese students studying Arabic, as well as providing comfort for Egyptian students studying the Japanese language, as well as preparing cadres capable of teaching Japanese language to Egyptian and foreign students at Ain Shams University.

         
   
         

She explained that the Japanese Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, enjoys a distinguished international reputation, and the department’s graduates enjoy distinguished job opportunities, in addition to their pioneering role in exchanging political, cultural, and social relations between the two friendly countries.

This was followed by a video presentation introducing the most important activities and important visits to the faculty during the recent period, then Dr. Heba Bakr, lecturer in the department, and Assistant. Lecturer. Marina Bahaa provided a detailed explanation of the history of the department, the nature of study there, the scholarships available in the department, as well as the most important jobs that graduates of the department join.

         
   
         

Dr. Muhammad Ashiba received the Japanese students’ questions and answered them, then took them on an inspection tour of the Credit Hours halls, the laboratories, and the library of the Japanese Language Department, accompanied by the faculty staff, teaching assistants, and the department’s students. This provided the opportunity for the students of the Faculty’s Japanese Language Department to communicate directly with the Japanese students by asking Questions and answers from both parties, which contributed to increasing cultural exchange and communication using the Japanese language.

The Dean presented the faculty shield to Ms. Atsuko Okumura, the Hiroshima University coordinator at the university office in Cairo, and the supervisor of the student delegation, to express their sincere thanks for arranging this visit, which represents great importance and increases the opportunities for cultural exchange and future cooperation between the two universities.
