At the end of a busy week for the talented students of Ain Shams University, in the presence of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the university won in many fields and activities during the activities of the Egyptian Universities and Higher Institutes Youth Week in its 13th session, which is organized by Helwan University from the eighth to the fourteenth of this September, under the patronage of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs.
Under the supervision of Prof. Mamdouh Abdel Aleem, Advisor to the Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Hatem Rabie, leader of the Students for Egypt family and head of the Ain Shams University delegation, Mr. Tariq Ahmed, Acting Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and in the presence of Union students, Maryam Khaled, President of the Ain Shams University Union.
In this context, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, stressed that Ain Shams University was keen to provide all means of support and qualification to its students participating in the competitions to be the best ambassadors for their university.
He added that the university administration is working to consolidate the idea of participation among students in all areas of student activities, whether scientific, artistic, cultural, sports, or traveling, and supports student presence in all forums, whether locally or internationally, to raise the name of Ain Shams University high in all fields.
Ain Shams University won, in cultural activity under the supervision of Mr. Mohamed Taha, Director of Cultural Activity and Communications Officer, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah and Mr. Karim Wajih and Hoda Radi, supervisors of the cultural activity, the gold medal in the name of student, Omnia Abdel Nasser, in the Holy Quran competition.
The scouting won under the supervision of Mrs. Asmaa Khater, Director of the Scouting Department, and Mrs. Iman Hassan, supervisor of Ain Shams Scouting, won first places in the fields of religion, life, scientific and environmental applications, arts, literature, economics, citizenship, aspiration for leadership, life skills, carnival, public service, community development, scouting traditions and arts, health, sports, and scouting values and trends.
In the field of scientific activity, under the supervision of Mr. Talaat Abdo, Director of Scientific and Technological Activity, and Mr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz, activity officer, Ain Shams University won third place and a bronze medal in the field of mechatronics.
In social activity, under the supervision of Mr. Salem Ahmed, Director of Social Activities, and Mr. Haitham Mahrous, Social Activity Supervisor, Ain Shams University won first place for female student teams in chess, second place in chess in the name of student Zainab Ezzat and student Maryam Ahmed, and the medical convoys in the name of student Manar Ahmed won third place. In addition to the social visits, it won third place in the name of student Manar Ahmed.
The sports activity was led and supervised by Mr. Muhammad Hassan, Director of the Sports Activity Department, and Captain Fatima Khalifa, the girls’ volleyball supervisor. In basketball, the university won second place under the training of Captain Ahmed Mahdi and the supervision of Captain Islam Ahmed, and in volleyball for male students, it took third place under the supervision of Captain Yasser Abdel Hadi and Captain Muhammad Lutfi.
In the technical activity under the management of Mr. Mustafa Issa, Director of Technical Activity, led by Coach Mr. Mahmoud Sami, the technical coach of the band, Hend Hamed and Hala Suleiman, supervisors of the artistic activity, and Ziad Siddiq, Secretary of the University’s Supreme Technical Committee. The student Rahma won second place in plastic arts in the field of artistic works, and in the field of music and choir, the first place was won by the student Cyril Safwat Sawiris, solo singing, and the second place was won by the student Habiba Khaled, solo singing, student Muhammad Abdel Raouf won the third place, solo singing, group playing, and group singing.
