On Saturday 9/23/2023, the Faculty of Girls of Arts, Sciences, and Education hosted the annual ceremony for graduates of the Faculty, which was organized and prepared this year by the University’s Alumni Association, and was held at the Faculty’s theater, under the patronage of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University and Vice President of Ain Shams University, and Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Amira Youssef, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, Prof. Mai Helmy, Vice President of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Heba Barakat, Vice President of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, President of the University’s Alumni Association, Prof. Mervat Abdel-Aal, Director of the Female Graduates Unit at the Faculty, and in the presence of Dean Hatem Saber, department heads, faculty staff, and their assistants, the female graduates and their parents.
The ceremony began with the Republican Anthem and then a recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by opening speeches by Prof. Mai Helmy Abdel-Gawad, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Reem Al-Kabariti, President of the University’s Alumni Association, then Prof. Mervat Abdel-Aal, director of the graduates’ unit at the faculty, and coordinated by Dr. Nesma Al-Kurdi, Assistant Lecturer in the faculty’s sociology department.
Prof. Amira Ahmed Youssef, Dean of the Faculty, delivered her speech and welcomed the attendees and students. She congratulated the graduates, wishing them success in their professional lives. She also motivated the students to work to achieve success. She also mentioned that your graduation is the result of dedication and hard work. This moment represents the beginning of a new journey of challenges and achievements, and we trust in your abilities and congratulate you. Also thanked all the parents for the care and support they provided to the graduates throughout the study period.
Prof. Mai Helmy confirmed that this day is the culmination of years of effort and fatigue to reach the desired goal, stressing the university’s primary role in preparing a promising base of female students and qualifying them to be able to assume responsibility, compete in various labor markets, and perform their role in building the new society.
After the honors, an artistic show was presented through a musical concert presented by the Faculty of Specific Education Choir, led by Maestro Dr. Ahmed Selim performed a number of individual and group songs, in addition to a sax-playing show of youth songs. The show was well received by the attendees, then a DJ segment, and after that the honoring of the female students, distributing certificates of appreciation to the female students, and taking souvenir photos.
